Actus Associates were engaged to undertake a feasibility, concept design, and documentation of the new Chemical Upstream Laboratory and Radiation Bunker for GE at their Jandakot facility.

Utilising an existing storage building, we were able to convert the space to a purpose-built laboratory meeting the exacting and unique Client testing requirements. 

For Stage 2 of the project, we designed and documented a new purpose-built radiation bunker for quarantining suspicious plant and materials prior to testing. The design of the bunker was to meet international standards for radiation treatment facilities. 

As part of the concept process Actus regularly consulted with specialised experts and advisors in both Europe and the US to ensure the design met and exceeded the required parameters.
